The Pope, Jubilee & Eric on MSNBC

Jubilee's Executive Director, Eric LeCompte, on MSNBC
Eric breaks down how the financial systems operates and focuses on all our key issues: tax havens, secrecy jurisdictions, global bankruptcy, stopping corruption, debt relief, responsible lending and vulture funds. Eric also makes clear how our efforts succeed because we are an interfaith movement of Jews, Muslims and Christians.

Please watch and share Eric's appearance on MSNBC. This is a great opportunity to share Jubilee's work with your friends and family.
The video includes graphics spelling out Jubilee's debt relief victories - victories we won together that sent millions of children in Africa back to school and reduced child mortality rates in forty plus countries around the globe. As we send this video, Eric is meeting with religious leaders across the Caribbean in Grenada - as Jubilee spreads to more islands in the region.

In his MSNBC appearance, Eric reflects on the speeches that Pope Francis gave in the United States. Eric notes that the UN speech was one of the most important speeches the Pope ever made. Pope Francis cites our efforts on the debt, tax and trade policies that drive global poverty. Francis talks about stopping "oppressive lending practices."

A week after the Pope's visit, we put his UN talk into action.

We hosted the Archbishop of San Juan, Puerto Rico and the head of the island's Bible Society to Washington for high-level meetings. We met with the White House and Senate and House leadership. We already are seeing immediate results from our efforts.

Thanks for watching and sharing Eric's MSNBC appearance.
